Mel Gibson...A Real Class Act!
Mel Gibson did not take too kindly to questioning from a Chicago TV reporter yesterday and hurled an insult at him once he thought the camera was off.
It was not.
A frustrated Mel was on WGN-TV promoting his new film, Edge of Darkness, but kept being hit with questions about ... well, you knew it would come up.
Asked about his drunk, anti-Semitic rampage from 2006 and whether he thinks people view him differently, Mel grew increasingly annoyed via satellite.
After an awkward minute or so, the WGN reporter wrapped up the interview with the actor, told folks to see Mel's movie, and that appeared to be that.
Until Mel, apparently thinking the interview was over, took a swig of his coffee and called the guy an "a##hole." Seriously. It's amazing. Check it out:

ACADEMY AWARD NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED THIS MORNING!
Factoids to impress or annoy your friends with:
-For the first time in Academy history, there are 10 films up for "Best Picture" instead of the usual 5.
-"Avatar" and "The Hurst Locker" both lead the nominations with 9 each.
-Kathryn Bigelow ("Point Break"), director of "The Hurt Locker", is only the 4th female ever nominated for a directing Oscar.
-Kathryn Bigelow will be going head to head at the Oscars with her ex-husband, James Cameron, the man behind "Avatar".I

More problems for the guys of "Two And A Half Men"!
With star Charlie Sheen set to appear in an Aspen court on Friday over the alleged Christmas death threat against his wife (who is in the ICU with pneumonia...WHO is watching this trainwreck couple's poor baby??!!), now fellow star Jon Cryer has called in the FBI claiming he fears that his life is in danger from a hit man hired by his ex-wife!
The couple has been in a nasty custody battle over their 9-year-old son.
Happier times...early 2000.
* On a side note, his ex, Sarah Trigger, was arrested last year for felony child neglect, after her 2nd husband (now an ex) called the cops after finding marks on the couple's 2-year-old.
It IS Hollywood, so it's hard to say if she's got "crazy eyes" or just had Botox!
Wednesday 1/20
Former tennis player and now simply, "hottie", Anna Kounikova's mother has been arrested for child neglect. It seems Alla, left Anna's 5-year-old half brother, Allan home alone while she ran errands for an hour. The kid then either fell or jumped out of a second story window and neighbors found him crying and bleeding.
He is currently in the hospital and the "mother of the year", Alla said she left Allan alone but with all the doors "locked with a deadbolt", because he was watching tv and didn't want to go with her.

No shocker really, but Michael Jackson ordered $700,000 worth of crazy ass furniture for a London apartment before he died. The Italian furniture company gave Michael's mom back the money and plans on auctioning off the stuff. So, if you have some spare cash and are in dire need of a $120,000 velvet sofa or a shell encrusted chair for YOUR "Little Mermaid" room, here's your chance!

Olivia Namath
NFL Hall of Fame quarterback, Joe Namath got the call every parent dreads..."Dad, I'm in jail".
Joe's 19 year-old daughter, Olivia, was busted around 1am Sunday morning in Florida and arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of alcohol by a minor.
The 19-year-old was driving her Mercedes in Jupiter when a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office deputy pulled her over for speeding.
According to a news release, the deputy found a baggie of marijuana inside the car and seven more in the trunk, along with an open bottle of rum and bottles of beer.
There were two men in the car with Namath at the time of the incident.
Namath denied having any knowledge of the drugs in a car.
She currently lives with her father.
Two questions: Why does a 19 year-old need a Mercedes and given her father's rather sad recent history, is anyone shocked?
