HELP FOR THE PEOPLE OF HAITI

With so many people wanting to help those in Haiti and with concerns over recent reports of crooks taking advantage of people's big hearts, I am posting a link to a CNN.com article on the various relief groups and how to give to them.  The article does a great job of telling what each of these wonderful groups is all about and how you can donate to them now.

The Caring House Project!

What: A drive to collect 4-person or larger tents and large tarps to be sent to the people of Haiti. 

When: Now through Monday, February 8th. 

Where: You can donate at American Medical Response's office on Powers Blvd. or at any Colorado Springs Fire Department. 

Who: Caring House Project has been working in Haiti for more than 10 years.

Harrison High School Panther Band Silent and Live Auction

What: A live and silent auction to raise money for the band to travel to California to participate in Disney Magic Music Days.

When: Saturday, February 13th.

Where: The Colorado Springs Double Tree Inn.

Who: All to benefit the Harrison High School Panther Band. Funds raised will not only go towards the band's trip, but also towards other music programs at Harrison High School.
